Sir, you can't take pictures on this floor.

Today was the first time we (Rachel, J.J. and I) went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art together. I can't believe it took us this long...especially since it is free. I did take J.J. when he was still in the stroller but it is great to have him walk around and check out all the art himself. He did really well, all things considered. He made it 1.5 hours before having to leave. I can't wait until he gets older so we can talk about the pieces in depth more. For now, I will have to stick to "what color is that?" or "what shape is it?"

I would have taken a lot more photos but one of the security guards told me no cameras! I wasn't even using the flash....maybe he thinks I am going to sell prints of the art online. Yea, pics taken with my sweet 5MP Olympus...I should have asked him if I could get a photo with him. His mustache was pretty serious.

My New Workplace

P1010010

This is where I work now. I am actually doing something I am passionate about and getting paid to do it. J.L. Stader specializes in custom furniture, flooring, etc. from reclaimed wood and stone. He gets most of his materials from old barns throughout the Midwest. It is pretty surreal. I didn't think I would have the chance to do something I love and am passionate about so soon. Just a couple weeks ago, I felt trapped in a meaningless, dead-end job. Things are definitely looking up.
